Application Information

The foundation prioritizes long-term funding relationships with existing grantees, and is only accepting applications for organizations funded in the previous fiscal year.

Organizations based in Oregon are considered by invitation only.

SF Bay Area only: The next submission deadline opens September 25 and closes Thursday, October 5 at 5 p.m. Only applicants who received funding from the foundation in December 2016 will be considered. Organizations who received funding in June 2017 will be eligible to apply in March.

We Support

The foundation makes grants to exempt nonprofit and public organizations based in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties in California, and in the state of Oregon in the following program areas:

  • Academic and artistic enrichment for children and young adults
  • Support services for the disabled
  • Food, shelter, and counseling services for families in need and disadvantaged individuals
